First to everyone, I am BACK for good! I read my own posts and realized how much procrastination can really take its toll. I have not posted in way too long and I miss reaching out to all of you.
Anyway, I had an epiphany over the weekend! But first a little background. I went back to my hometown this past weekend for a wedding and saw many family members that I had not seen in almost a year. Now mind you, I was able to lose 20 pounds (and even a few more) since then so I was quite a bit smaller this time around. One of my Aunts was absolutely amazed at my size, presumably considering my over 40 weight loss needs. I dare say she was darn near incredulous that I had the nerve to be “skinny” at my age! She just kept asking me, “well what do you do to stay so slim?!”
Now at the time I really did not have a good answer for her. I told her, very much tongue in cheek, that “I don’t eat”. Well there certainly is a little truth in this jest but she was not at all amused by my response. I felt badly afterward about not being able to run down a list of things on the spot but just what do you say over cocktails? And actually, I have never ever seen this Aunt overweight so I figured she had a pretty good handle on maintaining weight, right? So what could I possibly add to that?
Well after I thought about it, I think she was just looking for a few weight loss tips and maintenance advice since she knows that I work out and have a lot of knowledge in this area. She also saw the before and after and probably just wanted some advice to lose weight.
Then I thought, well hey, this must my gift! I thought, well I started my blog with the intent to share, inspire and teach so I need to get back to that as soon as possible. So, I am BACK!
I need to thank my Aunt for helping me to realize that I need to share the knowledge that I have gained over the years with all of you out there struggling to lose weight. True I am just getting started on this journey but if you tell me what you would like to learn and discuss, I’ll do my best to share what I have learned during my years in the weight loss industry.
Best ’til next time,
MMM
